Delivering Cloud Solutions for Intelligent Transportation Systems

I’m captivated by how technology can revolutionize public assets, like transportation infrastructure. With all the buzz around autonomous vehicles, it's easy to miss the behind-the-scenes work of companies modernizing our roadways, which has been slowly and systematically improving our transportation networks.

At AWS, I was part of a specialized team spearheading growth in government services, finding a niche in partnering with engineering firms leading innovation in intelligent transportation systems (ITS). We addressed today's challenges like improving emergency response, tolling, traffic information, and signage management systems.

My client relationship with an East Coast firm for over 2.5 years expanded their highway sensor networks. We delivered a secure backup solution and an IoT mesh network leveraging Amazon Greengrass, ensuring resilience for their sensors where intermittent connectivity was an issue. Through Amazon Kinesis and SageMaker, we refined data processes to get data from sensors for machine learning, enhancing their predictive analysis capabilities.

Engaging deeply with the client, I orchestrated productive exchanges between their team and AWS experts, directly tackling their IT challenges. This relationship led to a robust project pipeline. I secured AWS funds, leaders, and experts to grow their technological capabilities and supported their market presence through joint marketing and enablement programs.
